A perfect start to 2006 as Washington Life hosted its New Year party at Georgetown chicest locale: Mate’.

THE SCENE
Two-hundred guests came for chilled tunes, magnifi cent mingling and Mate’s out-of-this-world hand-rolled sushi with a Latin fl air. But the hit of the night were the ‘Mate-tinis’ made with an irresistible mix of Argentinean rum and fresh-fruit purees.
